Hollow Wall Toggle Anchors

Hollow Wall Toggle Anchors

Submitted by • December 14, 2020

A one-piece, plastic anchor with a cylindrical body and two legs. The hole through the center of the body has ribs on the outside to hold the anchor in place during installation.

This anchor is installed by pre-drilling its hole and then inserting it into the hole, lightly hammering it until it is flush with the surface. When a tapping screw is driven into the toggle, the legs collapse, forming a tongue. As the screw is driven through the body, it pulls in and expands the legs, gripping the blind side of the hollow wall and securing the anchor in place.
